K-UBE ("we," "our," or "us") operates the K-UBE Apps mobile and web applications (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our App, including how we handle personal data — such as photographs and face data — when you use our AI-powered features.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
A. Information You Provide Directly
When you use the App, you may provide:
- Photographs and face data — images you explicitly take or upload within the App for color and style analysis features
- Account information — such as name, email address, username, or PIN (where registration is required)
- Location information — general or precise location data, with your consent, to enhance App features
- Feedback — opinions, suggestions, or ideas you submit to us
- Communications — support requests or other messages sent to us
- Payment information — if applicable, for purchases of products or services
B. Automatically Collected Information
When you use the App, we may automatically collect:
- Device type and operating system
- App version
- IP address
- Geolocation data (if permitted)
- Dates and times of access
- Unique identifiers (such as Advertising ID, IDFA, or Adjust ID)
- Usage data — session activity, screen views, and interaction with App features
- Crash logs and diagnostic data
- Subscription information
This information is used to maintain, improve, and secure the App.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and operate AI-powered color, style, and analysis features
- Process photographs and face data to generate analysis results
- Maintain, analyze, and improve App performance and user experience
- Customize your user experience
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
- Monitor, detect, and prevent security incidents, fraud, or misuse
- Facilitate payment processing
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
We do not sell your personal data.
3. Face Data Handling
We collect and process face data only when you explicitly take a photo or upload an image within the App. Face data is used solely to provide the App's color and style analysis services.
What is face data?
Face data refers to the images you provide, which are essential for conducting our color and style analysis services. Face data is not shared with any third party for training or commercial purposes.
Do we retain face data?
- No-retention apps: In apps where historical scan results are not a feature, all face data is used only for generating your results and is deleted immediately after processing.
- Retention apps: In apps where historical scan results are offered, we retain face data only for registered users to enable access to past scans, track changes, and compare analyses over time.
How long do we store face data?
- Unregistered users: We do not store any data — all face data is deleted immediately after processing.
- Registered users (retention apps): Data is stored until you delete your account or remove the specific data.
How do we store and protect face data?
All face data is encrypted. We do not store or send the original photo itself to third parties; instead, we retain an encrypted representation of the photo when storage is required.
Third-party access to face data
OpenAI is the sole third party with access to your face data when analysis is performed. We collaborate with OpenAI to leverage their advanced analytics for accurate color and style analysis. OpenAI may securely retain API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days solely to provide their services and monitor misuse. After this period, all inputs and outputs are deleted unless legally required to be retained.
Retention summary
- No-retention apps: face data is never stored by us.
- Retention apps: face data is retained only while your account exists, and is deleted upon account deletion or data removal request.
- Third parties (OpenAI): temporary storage only (up to 30 days), then deletion.
4. Artificial Intelligence Processing
The App provides AI-powered analysis features. When you use these features, the following information is transmitted to our AI service provider:
- The photograph or image you explicitly upload or capture within the App
- Technical metadata necessary to process the request (such as request type or usage context)
How processing works
- Your image is sent securely to our backend servers.
- Our backend forwards the image and relevant metadata to our AI service provider.
- The AI provider processes the data and returns an analysis result.
- The result is delivered back to the App and displayed to you.

OpenAI processes data solely to generate analysis results and to maintain and improve its services, in accordance with its own privacy policies and applicable agreements. OpenAI does not use your face data to train its models for general purposes.
We may change AI service providers in the future. Any provider we use will be contractually required to maintain data protection standards equal to or greater than those described in this Privacy Policy.
All data is transmitted using encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
5. User Consent for AI Processing
Before your photo or image is processed by our AI features, you are presented with a clear in-app disclosure explaining:
- That your image (face data) will be transmitted
- That the image is sent to our backend and to OpenAI, our AI provider
- The purpose of the processing and how the analysis result is generated
AI processing does not occur until you explicitly initiate the analysis by submitting your image. Where required by applicable law, your affirmative consent is obtained before any data is shared with a third-party AI provider.
You may discontinue use of AI features at any time by stopping use of those features or uninstalling the App. Please note that some core functionality of the App requires AI processing to operate.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We may share information in the following circumstances:
A. Service Providers
We may share data with third-party service providers that assist in operating the App, including:
- AI analysis providers (OpenAI — see Section 4 for full details)
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
- Analytics providers (if applicable)
- Customer support and communication tools (if applicable)
These providers are contractually required to use data only for the services they provide to us and to maintain data protection standards equal to or greater than those described in this Privacy Policy.
B. Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests (for example, a subpoena, court order, or government demand), or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to:
- Comply with a legal obligation
- Protect and defend our rights or property
- Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the App
- Protect the personal safety of users of the App or the public
7. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary to:
- Provide the App's services and features
- Fulfill legal, tax, and regulatory obligations
- Resolve disputes
- Enforce our agreements and protect our rights
Face data and other sensitive information will be erased upon account deletion, as described in Sections 3 and 9. When information is no longer needed, we will delete it or de-identify it in accordance with our data retention policies and applicable law.
8. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data.
- All data transmissions between the App, our servers, and third-party providers are encrypted using industry-standard security protocols (HTTPS/TLS).
- Face data is stored in encrypted form; the original photo is never stored or sent to third parties.
- Access to personal data is limited to authorized personnel and service providers who need such access for legitimate business purposes.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights, Choices, and Data Deletion
Depending on your jurisdiction and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of personal data (subject to certain exceptions)
- Object to or restrict certain types of processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format (data portability)
Account and data deletion
You have the right to delete or request the deletion of your personal data, including face data, at any time:
- Self-deletion: Use the Delete Account option in the App's Account Settings to initiate immediate account deletion.
- Email request: Email us at support@k-ube.com with the subject line "Delete Account" and include the email address associated with your account. Upon verification, your account and all associated personal data will be permanently deleted within 24 hours.
Certain personal information may be retained to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.

We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests. You may also control certain data collection and sharing through your device settings where supported by your device or operating system.
10. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as reasonably practicable.

11. International Data Transfers
Our servers and service providers (including OpenAI, located in the United States) may be located in countries other than your own. As a result, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Where required by law, we implement appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or similar mechanisms) to protect personal data transferred internationally. By using the App, you consent to such transfers to the extent permitted by applicable law.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy, and
- Where appropriate, provide additional notice within the App or via other communication methods.
Continued use of the App after changes take effect indicates acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
